Who is this course for?

This course is aimed at Yoga teachers who want to know how to teach pregnant students and children. In both cases the therapeutic benefits of Yoga are accepted, but the instruction must be adjusted to their specific needs.

Yoga for Children

The course provides multiple tools to help you start to the teach children.You will learn how to stimulate their imagination and to generate fun in the class. By developing these skills and to make your own events for children, your classes will become lively and cheerful.

The course is designed to teach teachers how to introduce children between 4 and 7 years to the world of Yoga. Remember, children spend most of their day sitting in class and as a result, they long to move. More and more schools are looking for Yoga teachers who know how to teach kids.

  • We will explore with humor, imagination and love the many possibilities that make Yoga fun for children.
  • The most important thing in this course will make clear that disinhibition and imagination are the two basic tools that allow us to create a rich environment in which to work with children.

  • Learn the specific adaptations for each posture.
  • Contraindications - (why certian poses may be inappropriate with pregnant women).
  • Adjustments, substitutions or aids that are used in classes.

Certification

Certification is obtained after passing the theoretical and practical assessments, resulting in a Practice of Hatha Yoga Teacher diploma.

Students may choose to resit the exams at one of the AIPYS centers, if necessary to complete their diploma requirements.

In the case of not passing the exams, a Certificate of Attendance will be awarded.
