Objectives

This foundational yoga training is designed to give you a transformative experience. You will gain a deeper understanding of all things yoga. If you want to teach, this will mark the beginning of your successful career as a yoga teacher. 'Yoga Center' Madrid trains its teachers of Hatha Yoga from several perspectives:

  • As an Indian wisdom tradition.
  • As a psycho-physical practice system.
  • As a cultural experience.
  • As an empirical health practice.

Recognition

The program includes all the requirements to obtain an internationally recognised 200-hour training diploma. The daily format will consist of five contact hours daily from Monday to Friday for ten weeks. The Course work in this program is 200 hours and qualifies you with an AIPYS Diploma.

Detailed Knowledge

We are unique in offering you the advantage of knowing how Hatha Yoga is understood in the Hindu context and at the same time analysing its paradigm in post-modern terms. Yogic techniques are being increasingly used in psychological therapies. Neuroscience research suggests that body-based practices increase neuroplasticity and improve emotional regulation. Yogic techniques offer both improved mindfulness and affective regulation making it a perfect complement to psychological work. As a holistic practice yoga attends to mind, body, behaviour and social interaction, thereby offering a biopsychosocial approach that nicely aligns with a growing appreciation that well being requires attention to all aspects of the person.

Testimonial

"Respectful of the tradition and demanding with their method; however, in addition to philosophy, history, anatomy and a lot of technique, they teach you to teach"

"Without doubt a challenge, but worth the effort!"
